11037776_597382417072814_2180204587362315282_nDo you like retro horror films? Do you like retro horror films about slashers? Do you like retro horror films about slashers who wear teddybear masks? If you answered yes to all three questions, then Cuddlez could possibly be the movie for you!

Bryan Enright is no stranger to the Tri-State area, especially due to his involvement with other filmmakers’ projects and his work with popular convention Bizarre AC. Now, though, he’s stepping out on his own and is in the middle of principle photography for his first film as a director, Cuddlez. Speaking exclusively with HorrorSociety.com Enright remarks, “Cuddlez brings back old school scares with a twist, neon settings complimented with a late 80’s hair metal soundtrack. It’s not your typical horror movie.”

Cuddlez will feature a new breed of serial killer that the public is sure to adore. Not only is he muscular and violently psychotic, but he also dons a kitchen or carpenter’s apron and an adorably creepy teddybear mask. His concept character design was created in hopes of making the slasher just as memorable as the movie, must like other classic killers from the 70s and 80s. Enright continues, “[The film] is inspired by the Nightmare of Elm Street sequels and John Carpenter’s stylish synth. I want to make Cuddlez to become a house hold name and a brand that true horror fans could trust.”

Other crew members hard at work on this independent feature include assistant directors and producers Joey Defeo, Rachel Turner, and Vicki Enright. Starring cast members include Shane Kryzwicki, William Covert, Andy Marino, Brandon Bross, Harrison Webb Victoria Stevens, Joseph Anthony Cartegna, Ryan Ross, Dan Murter Jr, Stephanie Spear, and Mike Marino as Cuddlez.

Filming will commence for another weekend of gore starting tomorrow, March 7th in South New Jersey. I will actually be visiting the set to be involved in the process as a background extra and to take on set exclusive photos and record interviews that I can imagine will be very interesting!
