“It Follows” Hits Select Theaters Tomorrow, March 13th.

I don’t know why I haven’t seen any big sources trying to pump up fans to see It Follows in theaters this Friday. I’ve only seen a television spot for it once, too. I’m not sure why no one is talking about this film because, in my opinion, it’s worthy of some promotion. Not only did it screen at Cannes in May 2014, but it won numerous awards in the film festival circuit and has received mostly positive reviews so far. The fact that it has received a rather large, though limited theatrical release should be applauded, especially considering the fact that it is an independent horror film.

With that said, here’s the run down of It Follows since I think it’s mostly passing under the radar right now.

It Follows is the second feature film written and directed by David Robert Mitchell. Cast members featured within include Maika Monroe (Labor Day), Keir Gilchrist (“United States of Tara”), Jake Weary (“Pretty Little Liars”), Daniel Zovatto (“Revenge”), Olivia Luccardi, Lili Sepe, and Bailey Spry.

According to IMDB, the synopsis is listed as, “For nineteen-year-old Jay, Autumn should be about school, boys and week-ends out at the lake. But after a seemingly innocent sexual encounter, she finds herself plagued by strange visions and the inescapable sense that someone, something, is following her. Faced with this burden, Jay and her friends must find a way to escape the horrors that seem to be only a few steps behind.”

Please visit Fandango or IMDB to purchase tickets online at a theater near you. And make sure you see It Follows when it hits theaters starting March 13, 2015!
