It was announced today that actress Hannah Fierman has signed on to play the female lead in The Events Surrounding A Peeping Tom & The Horror That Followed. It was exclusively revealed to HorrorSociety.com that Fierman will be playing the character of Rowan, a woman described as a femme fatale who becomes the target of the Peeping Tom’s obsession and leads him into a very bad place.
Hannah Fierman is most known to horror fans for playing the “I like you” girl in the Amateur Night segment of the first V/H/S anthology. Since then, she’s gone on to book roles in The Unwanted, American Hell and Good Grief Suicide Hotline as well as recurring roles on popular television shows “The Game” and “The Vampire Diaries.” Fierman is the first cast member to be announced for this upcoming title since Damian Maffei was named in its announcement last week.
The Events Surrounding A Peeping Tom & The Horror That Followed is a psychological horror film from Brian James Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick has previously worked on titles such as Spring Breakers, Holidays and London Fields. The story originally grew its foundation through the mind of Maffei, an actor who’s appeared in horror films including The House That Cried Blood and Christmas with the Dead, before Fitzpatrick took the idea and fleshed it out into a disturbingly backwards, suspenseful feature film. Together the duo are hoping to bring this project to life with a collaboration between Muse Productions (American Psycho, The Killer Inside Me) and Kickstarter investors.
The Events Surrounding A Peeping Tom & The Horror That Followed is currently looking for $40,000 in extra budget through a campaign on Kickstarter. With only 22 days remaining the fundraiser has only received $4,540 of its desired goal. Without the help of horror fans, the dream of making this movie may not be reached. Personally, I think donating at the $75 is the best bargain.
