  • 2012 – James Isaac, director of the films “The Horror Show”, “Jason X”, “Skinwalkers”, “Pig Hunt”, he passed away at the young age of 51.
  • 2007 – Lois Gibson, who wrote the screenplay for “Crypt of the Living Dead” a.k.a. “Hannah: Queen Of The Vampires,” passed away at the age of 78
  • 2007 – Writer/director Curtis Harrington, whose huge body of work includes “Queen Of Blood,” “The Killer Bees” and “Devil Dog: The Hound Of Hell,” passed away at the age of 80.
  • 1996 – Suzanne Ridgeway, who appeared in the films “The She Creature” and “From Hell It Came,” passed away at the age of 78.
  • 1991 – Wilfrid Hyde-White who appeared in the film “Chamber of Horrors” and the TV series’ “Battlestar Galatica” and “Buck Rogers,” passed away at the age of 87.
  • 1970 – Al Jarvis who was one of the first radio disc jockeys in L.A., and who appeared in the films “The Twonky” and “Phantom Planet,” passed away at the age of 60.
  • 1968 – Rex Carlton who produced such films as “The Brain That Wouldn’t Die,” ” Blood of Dracula’s Castle,” and “Nightmare In Wax,” passed away at the age of 53.
  • 1919 – Writer L. Frank Baum who created “The Wizard of Oz,” passed away at the age of 62.
