Miami gets its’ first Horror Film Festival…POPCORN FRIGHTS

popcornfrights_logo_background

Horror fans in South Florida have something to be thankful for. The genre has been largely ignored in Miami, with so many great indie horror films never getting shown on the big screen. Marc Ferman, film Critic and host of the long-running monthly film series “Popcorn Nights” has decided to take it upon himself to give Miami, Florida the same joy that he experiences at midnighter screenings during festivals like SXSW.

Popcorn Frights Horror Film Festival will run from October 1st-3rd and will premiere a handful of new horror films as well as horror/genre shorts from around the world. Taking place at the landmark O Cinema Wynwood, which seats 112 attendees, access to the festival will be quite limited. This is our first year and we want to start it off in a very modest way. This is for the horror fans that have been begging for a horror film fest in Miami and we are proud to be the ones bringing it to them.
