THE DEAD NEXT DOOR has enjoyed a cult following in the 25 years since its initial release on VHS in 1990, reaching its largest audience to date with the Anchor Bay special edition DVD in 2005. Now this “little horror film that could” is almost ready to graduate into the world of high-definition, courtesy of an ambitious limited edition Blu-ray release scheduled for this fall that promises to be the final word on this little slice of underground cinema history — and you can help make it happen!”

I first saw this amazing zombie film when I was in high school when a friend of mine ordered a copy on VHS along with Skinned Alive.  I fucking loved the film and since then I have watched it annually.  The film even inspired me to write several fan fiction stories set in the same universe (lucky for you, these abominations of literature has since been destroyed).

Today I learned that director J.R. Bookwalter, who was 19 at the start of production, is running an Indiegogo campaign as a pre-order for this three disc set.  The set is said to contain the following:

  • 2K Restored Feature Presented in 4:3 Original Aspect Ratio
