  • 2010 – Dennis Hopper, whose many film appearances include “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2,” “Queen of Blood”, “Land of the Dead” and “Blue Velvet,” passed away at the age of 74.
  • 2008 – Comedian Harvey Korman passed away at the age of 81. He appeared in the Mel Brook’s film “Dracula: Dead and Loving It,” three episodes of “The Munsters” TV series, the film “Munchies” and provided the voice of “The Great Gazoo” on the “Flintstones.”
  • 2005 – Luciano Rossi, who starred in the films “The Gates of Hell” and “Sword of the Barbarians,” passed away at the age of 70.
  • 1992 – Pippa Steel, lovely actress who appeared in “The Vampire Lovers” and “Lust for a Vampire.”
  • 1969 – Tom Duggan, who co-starred in the film “Frankenstein 1970, passed away at the age of 53.
  • 1957 – Director James Whale who films included “Frankenstein,” “Bride of Frankenstein,” “The Invisible Man” and the original “Old Dark House,” passed away at the age of 63.
  • 1942 – John Barrymore, who appeared in the 1920 version of “Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde,” “Svengali” and “The Invisible Woman,” passed away at the age of 60.
