From The Press Release

Nekrogoblikon, celebrating today’s release of their album Heavy Meta (Mystery Box/Razor & Tie), share a hilarious new video for “We Need A Gimmick” (https://youtu.be/1Q3ub1SUYfg).
The clip, fashioned as a lesson from band mascot, John Goblikon, on ways Nekrogoblikon can achieve internet fame features the sextet in various scenarios – from smooth jazz crooners to hip hop impresarios to EDM ravers and finally, as a corpse-painted black metal band.
“For the last three years, Scorpion, Bready, Raptor, Fingers, Diamond Joe, John Goblikon, and I have been trying to come up with some kind of schtick to gain more notoriety for Nekrogoblikon,” explained guitarist Goldberg. “This video documents the process of us figuring that out.”
Nekrogoblikon had one of the most widely circulated music videos of recent history, with the clip for “No One Survives,” which focused on John Goblikon’s day-to-day experiences as a goblin.  The “We Need A Gimmick” video comes from the same production team, with George Nienhius taking over as director and Brandon Dermer producing.  The clip was filmed at Nekrogoblikon’s newly founded production house/label/underground comedy club, Mystery Box, in downtown Los Angeles.
John Goblikon is currently wrapping production on a new, web-based talk show titled Right Now!  Look for the premiere episode soon.
