Yesterday was a big news day for fans of Ryan Murphy and FOX’s upcoming horror-comedy series, “Scream Queens.” Not only was it announced that the show would be premiering this Fall on September 22, but it was also divulged that genre actress Charisma Carpenter would be joining the cast in a supporting role. Rumor has it Ms. Carpenter will be playing the mother to pop star Ariana Grande’s character. But, wait, didn’t Charisma just graduate high school and stop The Mayor from eating everyone like…two years ago?
Charisma Carpenter is a world class actress most known for starring as Cordelia Chase in three seasons of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” from 1996 to 1999 and in four seasons of “Angel” from 1999 to 2003. Since then she’s starred in a variety of horror and science fiction projects including “Charmed,” Voodoo Moon, House of Bones, Psychosis, and Haunted High. Her other works include “Veronica Mars,” “The Lying Game,” and the Expendables franchise.
She is set to join other noteworthy actors including Emma Roberts, Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Skyler Samuels, Nick Jonas, Oliver Hudson, Diego Boneta, Glen Powell and Niecy Nash on the series that follows Greek life on one particular campus that’s rocked by a series of brutal murders twenty years after a pledging mishap claimed someone’s life.
