Horror Realm & Pop Expo Events Include Appearance by “Pittsburgh Dad”

pittsburgh-dad-youtube-showPittsburgh’s Horror Realm & Pop Expo announces the schedule of events including films, celebrity question & answer panels, contests and parties. The expo takes place July 24-26, 2015 at the Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh West Green Tree hotel, located at 401 Holiday Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15220.

The schedule is jam packed to provide hours of entertainment for convention attendees. Highlights include:

Question & answer panels with guests Caroll Spinney (Fri 5 PM), Ryan Hurst (Sat 11 AM), Erin Murphy (Sat 12:10 PM), Daeg Faerch (Sat 1:30 PM), A. Michael Baldwin (Sat 2:45 PM), John Borowski (Sat 4 PM) and Patty Mullen (Sun 11 AM)

Screenings of local independent horror films including Q&A with the cast and filmmakers:
“The Other Side” on Friday at 7 PM
Family friendly action adventure film “Super Task Force One” on Saturday at 11 AM
“Skinless” sponsored by Dustin Mills on Saturday at 1 PM
“Jagoff Massacre” with a sneak peak at “Jagoff Massacre 2” on Saturday at 3 PM
“Evil in the Woods” sponsored by Massacre Video on Saturday at 4:15 PM
“Bigfoot the Movie” on Saturday at 6 PM. Cast includes comedian Curt Wootton, better known as You Tube sensation “Pittsburgh Dad”.

· Horror tattoo contest on Saturday at 5 PM. First prize is a $500 gift certificate to Pittsburgh Tattoo Company, which is sponsoring the contest and located at 103 Smithfield Street in downtown Pittsburgh. Judges will include tattoo artists Shannon Daley of Pittsburgh Tattoo and Whitney Seanor of Bloodlines Studio. Info at www.tattoo-pittsburgh.com.

· Zombie Luau is the theme for this show’s party on Saturday night from 10 PM to midnight. Featuring the Muzik Machine DJs, dancing, cash bar and beach/tiki themed photo booth props. Guests are invited poolside for a pre-party including corn hole games and hula hooping.

· Independent film studio Toe Tag presents The Underground after party on Saturday at midnight featuring principal and director Fred Vogel as DJ.

· Castle Blood presents the Horror Realm Masquerade costume contest on Sunday at noon. There will be separate divisions for adults and children. First prize for adults will be $100 cash. Judges include international cosplay model Ani-Mia and Castle Blood’s ghoulish caretaker Gravely MacCabre (played by Ricky Dick). Castle Blood is a haunted attraction located in a former funeral home at 100 Schoonmaker Avenue in Monessen. Castle Blood has been included in America’s Best Haunted House Directory and msnbc.com’s Top 20 Halloween Destinations. Info at castleblood.com/.
