Horror Society Radio Exclusive: Cast and Crew Of All 8 Films To Die For From The After Dark Film Festivals To Be Guests On The Calling Hours Horror Podcast Through The Month Of September

As the leading website for Independent Horror, Horror Society prides itself on being the site to bring you the latest updates and exclusive content on the genre, and this time we have really done it! In addition to helping promote the After Dark Horrorfest 8 Films To Die on our website, we are also going to have 8 EXCLUSIVE podcasts during the month of September on The Calling Hours Horror Podcast (on Horror Society Radio). There will be two shows per week, with each episode focusing on 1 of the films in the series starting September 1st at 8 PM EST. We have confirmed “Wind Walkers” Producer Dori Sperko and Actress Castille Landon to be our guests for the first podcast this Tuesday, September 1 from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm EST!

A U.S. solider returns from captivity to find that his friend and fellow former POW has gone AWOL. While out on an annual hunting trip with his friend’s father and some extended family his group comes under attack by an ancient Native American curse that has mysterious connections to his friends Native heritage and the prison in which they were held.

A morally ambiguous corporation experiments with genetic modification resulting in the creation of a man hunting creature. When it escapes, a group of unsuspecting cabin dwellers become its prey in a horrifying game of cat and mouse.

Emily is a high-school student with a penchant for drawing gruesome pictures in her sketchbook. There’s a reason for her obsession with horrific images: Her father Tom once went on a murder spree and is now residing in a mental hospital. When a group of young people camping in the ruins of a medieval Turkish town play a party game called ‘Murder in the Dark’, they soon discover that someone is taking the game too far…’ Produced in an experimental shooting style, this murder-mystery features a cast of actors who were not allowed to see the script. The actors’ choices interactively changed the shape of the story. They had to use clues to solve the mystery laid out before them by the filmmakers.

When a little girl dies, her family gathers to mourn the loss. Yet the pain is not forgotten and a vengeful demon spirit takes possession of a vulnerable family member tearing at the ties that bind them all together. One by one, it forces each family member to confess to their buried lies and face the morbid consequences of their sins.

As the staff of Good Friends Church Camp prepares for a spring break filled with “Fun Under the Son”, a demon logger rises from his sap boiler to wreak his vengeance and feast on flapjacks soaked in the blood of his victims.

“After Dark Films is an Independent motion picture studio formed in 2006 by director/filmmaker Courtney Solomon and Hong Kong based real estate magnate Allan Zeman. After Dark Films’ first motion picture film release was An American Haunting (2006) starring Sissy Spacek and Donald Sutherland. Co-founder and CEO Courtney Solomon wrote, produced, and directed this film under the newly formed After Dark Films banner. An American Haunting reached number two at the box office the opening week of its release.

After the release of An American Haunting, partners Solomon and Zeman formed a multiyear marketing and distribution deal for Horrorfest 8 Films To Die For between After Dark Films and Lionsgate Entertainment, with After Dark handling theatrical marketing & releases and Lionsgate handling the distribution of all the ancillary forms of media (Home Video, Pay TV, Pay Per View). After Dark Films released Horrorfest 4 in theaters on January 29, 2010.

Building on the success of Horrorfest, After Dark released their first 8 originally produced horror films in January 2011 under the moniker After Dark Originals. After Dark Originals 2 was released in the third quarter of 2013.

After Dark Films and Dark Castle Entertainment debuted their new action movie franchise After Dark Action in 2012. The first generation of After Dark Action included five original, adrenaline pumping films starring international stars such as Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren, Peter Weller, Jim Caviezel, Cung Le and Christian Slater. After Dark Action showcased the movies theatrically as a commercial film festival in markets nationwide and VOD on May 11th, 2012 with After Dark handling the theatrical marketing & releases and Warner Brothers Entertainment handling the distribution of the ancillary forms of media (Home Video, VOD, Pay Per View, etc).”
