I wonder if they made him record his lines as Freddy Krueger and then made him do them as his real character? I know I would have…
Horror icon and Nightmare on Elm Street star Robert Englund has recorded his voice overs for the upcoming horror film, Abruptio! Abruptio! is a special project because all of the characters will be full-sized puppets maneuvered by puppeteers. This is one of the first film’s of its kind, if not the very first. This endeavor is currently in production through Hellbent Pictures with writer/director Evan Marlowe and producer Kelly Marlowe.
Englund will voice one of the lead characters alongside James Marsters (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Smallville”), Sid Haig (Hatchet 3, House of 1000 Corpses) and Christopher McDonald (Happy Gilmore, “Texas Rising”). Other cast members include Carole Ruggier (God of War, “Jimmy Kimmel Live”), Rich Fulcher (“Funny or Die,” “Regular Show”), Darren Darnborough and John Wuchte.
Providing vocal work can be more difficult than regular acting because you have to sell the lines and the scene with only your voice. Actors usually use different methods to provide the most emotionally inspiring material, so check out the cast Abruptio! doing their thing below!
