Tis the season to be jolly and even the world’s most popular crytpids are getting into the holiday spirit. On Friday, November 27th three people in three different states allege that they encountered the mythical creature known as The Goatman. Described as having the lower body of a goat and the upper body of a man with horns on top, sometimes carrying an axe, The Goatman is one of the oldest urban legends and reported cryptids in existence.
The legend of The Goatman originated in the state of Maryland sometime in the early 1700s. Since then, the ravenous cryptid has been spotted all over the world, though his most recent sightings are American based. On Friday, citizens of Kentucky, Texas and Wisconsin all reported seeing the hybrid in their neighborhoods after enjoying their Thanksgiving left overs. Of course, all three witnesses were so shocked that they were unable to snap a single picture.

Some people say that The Goatman is a true cryptid. Some people say that The Goatman is a scientist who was botched in a failed experiment. Some people say The Goatman is a demon from Hell. Being that it is Christmas season, I’d like to think that The Goatman is the most recent apparition of Krampus and he’s here to steal your soul. Or, ya know, he’s just a hoax. Whatever.
