“Mr. Dark” Season 1 Web-series Now Online

The release of episode three of the web-series “Mr. Dark,” completes the first season of the Spokane produced, supernatural crime drama. The series is available free online at www.MrDarkSeries.com, said independent director Jesse James Hennessy.

“Everyone involved worked very hard over the past year to make this come together,” says Hennessy, kingpin of the Spokane-based film crew, JJH Productions. “It was done with zero budget and out of sheer love for the craft.”

“Mr. Dark” is the story of tormented Detective John Frost, who is known to be good with the creepy cases, the sick and weird, the assignments no one else will touch. He teams up with firecracker newbie Detective Riley to investigate a gruesome, ritualistic murder, and quickly find themselves neck-deep in a supernatural morass.

“Beautifully shot, wonderfully acted, and deliciously dark, ‘Mr. Dark’ is my new favorite series,” says cult horror author Chris Thompson. “Creepy, scary, intensely disturbing.”

As with all of his projects, Hennessy set out to work with a wide array of talented people in the Spokane community, “where we all learn and grow as filmmakers, actors, and story tellers.”

Many of the crew already had experience in stage and screen, including Brad Picard (“Z Nation”), Wes Deitrick (“Guyver 2 – Dark Hero”), and Heather Swanstrom of (“SpokAnarcy!,” Tiki). Hennessy and series star Jason A. Young are members of the Spokane Film Project.

Another “Mr. Dark” series is in the works, with an unspecified completion date. Hennessy is currently writing a feature-length horror film.
