LLOYD KAUFMAN is making a special appearance at Motor City Nightmares this weekend

This weekend, April 22- April 24th, Lloyd Kaufman, prexy of Troma Entertainment and creator of, The Toxic Avenger, will be appearing live at Novi, Michigan-based Motor City Nightmares Horror Expo and Film Festival, with Troma Ron MacKay and his Tromentourage of mutants and Super-Tromettes. The special appearance from the movie making legend was announced today by Elizabeth D’Ambrosio, spokesperson for Troma Entertainment.

Kaufman will be signing for FREE at the Troma Booth. There will be a Tromarrific supply of exclusive Troma Merch, including the hot new Toxic Avenger backpacks, direct from the Spring-Collection runways!

Other merchandise available at the Troma booth will be Troma T-shirts, stickers, toys and backpacks.

During the three days of the festival, the Motor City Nightmare Horror Expo will host a series of round table discussions and a Q & A with experienced masters of horror and cult interest, including Lloyd Kaufman. Kaufman is infamously known as one of the first contemporary filmmakers to experiment with and develop crossover styles in genre movies. The new and original work, exemplified in Kaufman’s classic films like Class of Nuke ‘Em Highand Tromeo and Juliet continues to develop and tackle new, highly topical social as well as environmental issues, as in recent work, Return to Nuke ‘Em High Volume 1. The themes and controversial artistic statements became not only the Troma brand but also a filmmaking aesthetic that commanded its own category, the Tromatic. Lloyd Kaufman is scheduled to answer questions and offer his insight at 1:30 pm on Saturday, April 23 in the “Mackinac Room”, a round table lounge in the convention center.
Motor City Nightmares is Michigan’s premiere horror convention. Fans will be able to meet some of the biggest icons in horror history. Unique vendors from around the world will be selling both new and rare horror toys, t-shirts, posters, displays, DVDs, masks and other assorted merchandise! The Film Festival will host movie World Premieres from innovative filmmakers internationally and screenings will be included with every show, along with special celebrity panels, and so much more!
