Where Are They Now? Bella Thorne

wherearetheynow

bella-thorne-bio-photoWith the new season of “Scream: The TV Series” premiering on MTV tonight, I figured I would dedicate this Where Are They Now installment to one of the show’s previous actresses – Bella Thorne. Bella started her career in the entertainment industry in the mid-2000’s with guest appearances on popular television shows such as “Entourage” and “The OC.” These guest spots paved the way for her to land more credible, recurring roles in other shows such as “Dirty Sexy Money” and “My Worst Enemy” in 2008, “Little Monk” in 2009 and “Big Love” in 2010. In this time, she also made her first appearances in horror films as seen in The Seer (2007) and Craw Lake (2007).

Thorne also played a small role in Chiller’s favorite Forget Me Not in 2009 before returning to more mainstream roles beginning with her biggest role to date, playing the lead role of CeCe Jones in “Shake It Up” from 2010 to 2013. She was a supporting player in the Adam Sandler, Drew Barrymore romantic comedy Blended in 2014 and was the central antagonist in one of the biggest straight-to-DVD comedies of 2015, The Duff. Thorne starred in Mostly Ghostly: Have You Met My Girlfriend right before being featured in three episodes of “Scream: The TV Series.” In “Scream” Bella played the queen bitch, Nina, who is dispatched by Ghostface as the opening kill. She would make other appearances in the show by means of flashback.

So, where is Bella Thorne now?

Well, currently you can find her in theaters voicing one of the characters in Ratchet & Crank. Bella has a ton of upcoming films in the horror genre starting with Boo! A Madea Halloween coming out in October. She’ll also play the lead in The Babysitter and will co-star in Keep Watching with “The Walking Dead” youngster Chandler Riggs. As far as 2017 goes, hopefully we’ll get to see Thorne in action as the lead in the new Amityville Haunting installment, The Awakening, which has already been delayed three times. Fingers crossed there!
