  • 1959 – Billy Campbell, who appeared in the 1992 version of “Dracula,” “The Rocketeer” and as Councilman “Darren Richmond” on the HBO series “The Killing.”
  • 1949 – Shelley Duvall who appeared in “The Shining,” “Time Bandits” “Big Monster on Campus” and “Frankenweenie.”
  • 1928 – Patricia Hitchcock, daughter of Alfred Hitchcock. She had a brief part as “Caroline” in her father’s film “Psycho.”
  • 1928 – Vince Edwards who appeared in the films “Space Raiders,” “Return To Horror High” and “Cellar Dweller.” He is best known for playing “Ben Casey” in the series of the same name.
  • 1927 – Richard Garland who appeared in the films “Attack of the Crab Monsters,” “The Undead” and “Panic In Year Zero.”
  • 1925 – Yvonne Mitchell who appeared in the films “Crucible of Horror,” “Demons of the Mind” and in the 1952 TV version of “1984.”
  • 1924 – Mary Ford who appeared in “Queen of Outer Space” and “Missile To the Moon.”
  • 1919 – The late Jon Pertwee who played “Doctor Who” # 3 and appeared in the films “The House That Dripped Blood,” “Carry On Screaming” and “One of Our Dinosaurs Is Missing.”
  • 1913 – Fred F. Sears who directed the films “The Giant Claw,” “Earth vs. the Flying Saucers” and “The Werewolf.”
  • 1907 – Sci-fi writer Robert A. Heinlein, whose novels include “The Puppet Masters,” “Rocketship Galileo” and “Starship Troopers.”
  • 1901 – Toho effects whiz Eiji Tsuburaya.
  • 1901 – B movie producer Sam Katzman, who’s long list of production credits include “Spooks Run Wild,” “It Came From Beneath the Sea” and “The Werewolf.”
  • 1887 – Raymond Hatton, who appeared in the films “The Day the World Ended” “Invasion of the Saucer Men” and “In Cold Blood.”
