A “Live from the Green Carpet” Video Shoot with Appearing Director Brandon Bassham and Lloyd Kaufman at Lucky 13 Saloon tomorrow night at 8:00 PM to commemorate the conclusion of Troma Entertainment’s FESTIVAL OF FREE!!! with a guest participant video shoot and a double-feature screening event of his recent Troma Movies releases Feartown, U.S.A. and The Slashening, it was announced today by Lloyd Kaufman, prexy of Troma Entertainment and creator ofThe Toxic Avenger.
Bassham is a member of the Upright Citizen’s Brigade improvisational and sketch comedy group. The movies to be screened, Feartown, U.S.A. and The Slasheningwere both produced on amazingly low micro-budgets that provided him with enough resources to create two hilarious party-slasher feature films with high production value, great cinematography, characters who range from deprecating and insecure to humorless entitled nitwits with terrible and superficial values!
Feartown, U.S.A. was completed in 2014, and opens on St. Belvin’s Day, a holiday (the most debauched of regional holidays), four boys looking to lose their virginity, a girl haunted by a dark secret, a lonely teenager, and an escaped mental patient all meet at a party in the woods, where ghost girls are bullies that menace the body conscious and competitive drinking slows the reaction time of victims in the cabin! They were looking for fun but what they found… was TERROR!
The Slashening, completed in 2015, is set in a typical white suburban neighborhood and begins with a girl’s night only soiree and sleepover of best friends and characters Lucy, Eva, Ashley, Beth and Margot have a sleepover like any other – until murder joins the party. A tale of friendship, betrayal, madness, and the search for some decent dick.
Troma will be pulling out their favorite Premiere celebratory events and introductions with Green Carpet photo shoots, appearances by The Toxic Avenger,along with his creator, President of Troma Entertainment Lloyd Kaufman. Look out for Dolphinman and more of the cast and crew from the Troma Team! Guests are invited to come participate in the video shoot and be interviewed on the Green Carpet and be directed by famous blowholes Dolphinman or Lloyd Kaufman!
