ARCHSTONE PICTURES, with offices in Los Angeles, California, and Austin, Texas, in association with Austin, Texas-based DREAMSTREAM ENTERTAINMENT, announce the start of pre-production the film, “Sweet Sister”.
Principle photography is scheduled to begin mid winter. The psychological thriller will be filmed on location in Austin, TX, and Los Angeles, CA.
Austin resident Michael Slifkin is slated to produce the feature along with Los Angeles based producer Scott Martin. Screenwriting team Dan’l Terry and Randi Leigh Potenzo of Austin are slated to direct. Grammy winner, Eric Paul, Willie Nelson’s producer and Emmy winning composer Michael J. Lewis have committed to create an outstanding musical soundtrack.
ARCHSTONE PICTURES is providing the world-wide distribution commitment for the feature. Casting has begun with several well-known actors currently in negotiations. Supporting cast members include, Joe Estavez (See Jane Run, Conflict of Interest and Hollywood Confidential), Mona Lee Fultz (Miss Congeniality, Dazed & Confused), Sue Rock (Varsity Blues, Friday Night Lights), and Gary Chason (Brewster McCloud, Dear Pillow).
The psychological thriller tracks the impact of child abuse on twin sisters, one reaching for her dream in music, the other doing all that she can to dig her way to hell while a psychopathic killer targets the club scene in the Live Music Capital of the World.
