Last Minute Cinema Wasteland Guests

HOW ABOUT A COUPLE LAST MINUTE GUEST ADDITIONS:

TODD SHEETS – Independent writer, producer, and director Todd Sheets will be on hand at the April show. Sheets began making movies during the shot on video glory days of the 1980s with BLOOD OF THE UNDEAD (1985). Over the next fifteen years, he directed over 30 more movies, including DEAD THINGS (1986), ZOMBIE RAMPAGE (1989), SORORITY BIMBOS IN THE DANCE-A-THON OF DEATH (1991), ZOMBIE RAMPAGE 2 (1992), ZOMBIE BLOODBATH (1993), GOBLIN (1993), and THE SHIVERS (1998) to name a few. These days, Sheets hosts NIGHTWATCH, a Kansas City area radio show devoted to “things that go bump in the night” that can be heard on 322 radio and web stations throughout the USA and in 20 or so countries worldwide.

LLOYD KAUFMAN will also be making a return trip to Cleveland in April. You’ll be able to find him at his usual haunt, the Troma tables, on at least Friday and Saturday I’m sure.

IN THE MOOD FOR SOME RARE THREE STOOGES:  Last update I mentioned that we may have a Three Stooges rarity to screen instead of the usual shorts on Saturday afternoon. Everything’s a go, and we’ll be presenting the rare 1945 short feature, ROCKIN’ IN THE ROCKIES, with Moe, Larry and Curly on Saturday at noon.

THE WEEKEND SCHEDULE IS POSTED:  Are you still on the fence about attending the April show? Then maybe you should take a look at the Weekend Schedule of Events to help you make up your mind? I usually try to get the weekend schedule posted three or four weeks before show time, but this time around everything fell into place early and the weekend looks great from this fans perspective.

CHECK OUT EVERYTHING WE HAVE TO OFFER attending fans by punching up the FILMS and EVENTS page of the show site. Right there at the top of the page is a WEEKEND SCHEDULE OF EVENTS button. Click it, print out the weekend events schedule, and start plotting out your weekend now. We’re once again packed tight with movies, panels, talks, and events, so you may have to do some serious plotting to make sure you see most of it. And remember, EVERYTHING we offer our attending fans is FREE with the price of admission. In this day and age, I see no better bargain for fans looking to spend their money wisely than a Cinema Wasteland Weekend.

FLIERS and POSTCARDS:  Thank you everyone who helped to spread the Wasteland word and put out fliers or postcards for April’s show. We tend to concentrate on places within fifty miles of the show hotel as show time draws closer, so if you live in Ohio and need a few more postcards, or know of a place you may have forgotten about, then just say the word and we can still get you out a little stack to pass around before March arrives.

TICKETS:  You still have until March 6th to grab a 3-Day VIP Pass to the April show for only $35.00, or a Single Day Pass for only $15.00, so by all means, check out the weekend Schedule of Events and order your tickets today. No “hidden fees” at a Wasteland show guarantees every fan through the door is treated just like the person standing next to you in line; and your ticket in gets you everything we have to offer except for an autograph from our guests. Look around and see if you can find another horror convention that offers their attending fans over 31 hours of movies and events for the price of admission like CW does. It’s going to be a long search, that’s for sure.

HOTEL:  Things really start to fill up fast now, so don’t delay and book your room yesterday, not tomorrow. You can reserve your room by calling The Holiday Inn direct at (440) 238-8800, or reserve your room on our web site. Remember you MUST ask for ‚ “The Cinema Wasteland Rate”, or they will tell you that they are ”sold out” and have no rooms. If you are told that the hotel is sold out, remember to tell them you are with Cinema Wasteland, as we have the whole hotel blocked for our group. AND PLEASE only reserve as many rooms as you plan on using. If you choose to book more than one room, please call Lynn Ebner directly at 1-440-783-3006 and she will take care of your multiple room reservations.
