House of Horrors in March

Oshkosh Horror is at it again with another great and completely FREE screening of some great horror flicks. Check it out below!!

Since we watched two classic 80’s slasher flicks last month, we thought it would be only appropriate to see what it really takes to be a slasher and what it takes to make a horror flick. This month we are going to be showing two recent horror mockumentary films, Brutal Massacre and Behind The Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon.

BRUTAL MASSACRE

American Werewolf In London’s David Naughton plays Harry Penderecki, a washed-up, B-horror movie director who is getting ready to make his latest film in hopes of bringing his career back to life. With old crew members and a new cast, Harry’s film runs into every problem imaginable for an independent horror film. Brutal Massacre is filled with excellent cameos from all sorts of familiar faces: Ken Foree (Dawn of the Dead, The Devil’s Rejects), Gunnar Hansen (the original Leatherface), Ellen Sandweiss and Betsy Baker (The Evil Dead), Brian O’Halloran (Clerks) and more.

BEHIND THE MASK: THE RISE OF LESLIE VERNON

This trailer does not do justice for Behind The Mask, so don’t let this shitty trailer fool you! Leslie Vernon is a new name among the likes of Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers and the rest, but is ready to make an impression. A college film crew follows Leslie around as he shares the secrets of what it takes to be a slasher, how to pick your victims and his origin. Robert Englund and the late great Zelda Rubenstein co-star.

As always, the movies are free and open to the public. Bring your friends!
