Sorority Row 2 Graduating This October?

Most of this information comes from wikipedia, so it should be taken with a grain of salt.

Apparently, a sequel to 2009’s Sorority Row is in the works. Keep in mind, Sorority Row is a remake of 1983’s The House on Sorority Row. Sorority Row was a teen slasher flick about a group of sorority girls who accidentally kill one of their sisters. A while passes and as graduation nears, signs point to a hooded figure wielding a tricked out tire iron that knows what they did. It starred Briana Evigan, Rumor Willis (Bruce Willis’ daughter), Jamie Chung (MTV’s The Real World), Audrina Patridge (MTV’s The Hills), Matt Lanter (90210 remake), and Carrie Fisher (Star Wars). The film wasn’t that much of a success, only grossing about $28,000,000, but it did manage to cover its budget of $12,000,000, which means a sequel just had to be made.

This is what is known about the sequel so far. First of all, the expected release date is October 28, 2011. No cast and crew have been announced yet, although a director has been described as “young.” Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger returned to write the script after writing the first film. Summit Entertainment has already picked this up for distribution. In terms of plot, ” Two years after the first Sorority Row, a new set of Theta Pi sisters pull a prank on one of their ex-boyfriends, but when the prank goes all wrong, they decide to never speak of the prank again. But secrets soon resurface, as someone sends them death threats.” The working title is rumored to be Sorority Row 2: The Final Cut.

Even more interesting news, production could be completed all ready. This is what wikipedia had to say about production, “Sorority Row 2 entered pre-production in June 2010. Although set in Anytown, USA, producers of the film wanted to take advantage of Pennyslvania state tax credits and the strength of local film crews. The film was mostly shot at night in Munhall, one block from the Carnegie Library of Homestead, where about 10 houses were dressed to resemble a sorority row. The graduation scene for the film’s fictional Rosman University (named after the writer/director of The House on Sorority Row) was shot outside of Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood. Interiors of the Theta Pi sorority were filmed on sets built in a warehouse near Crafton, Pennsylvania.”

Do you think this is true? Do you think this is more wiki-dirt? How would we not have heard anything about it by now? If it is true, are you excited to see it?

  1. Hey guys! ;)
I read this is on Wikipedia, but I can't find the link now, it said Selena Gomez, along with Katie Cassidy are going to star in Sorority Row 2. You can check out the fan trailer on youtube, it shows the whole cast for the next movie. ^^
    It releases in October 2011.

  2. I cant provide a link. Im just friends with Briana Evigan so I would sure know if there was any truth to this :)

  3. If the sequel is true, then to be true to the way it ended, garret, cassidy and ellie and megan need to be in it. Who ever else is cast in it doesn't matter as long as their good.

  4. if there is a sorority row sequel, i highly doubt selena gomez would be in it as "meow meow" stated above. i personally would like to see katie cassidy in it. i also read somewhere that amber heard might be in it, but i also doubt that (it would be awesome if she was though). i'm a big fan of sorority row, i thought it was a well done horror movie. good kills, good plot, etc. a sequel definitely should be made. but how would they bring back briana evigan's character? she already graduated.. i can see how they would bring back caroline d'amore's character because she was about to enter the sorority.

  5. it also said that briana evigan, rumer willis, katie cassidy, selena gomez, ashanti, lindsey shaw, emma bell, shantel vansanten, mary elizabeth winstead and caroline d’amore will be in sorority row 2: new blood

  6. on wikipedia it says the cast is

    Briana Evigan as Cassidy Tappan

    Rumer Willis as Ellie Morris

    Caroline D’Amore as Maggie Blaire

    Katie Cassidy as Amber Corman

    Selena Gomez as Carly Perez

    Logan Browning as Janessa Jones

    Emma Bell as Gwenyth Bolton

    Lindsey Shaw as Layla Simmons

    Ashley Greene as Alexandra Murphy

    Matt O’Leary as Garrett Bradley

    Kristen Stewart as Ashley Tappan

    Danielle Panabaker as Shelby Wilkins

    Amber Heard as Kelly Jenkins

    David Gallagher as Jeffrey Tappan

    Courteney Cox as Mrs. Simmons

    • with such huge stars there would have been an announcement by now, but there hasn’t, which leads me to believe that this is still a rmor. can you provide the wiki link? i havent checked it out in a while.
