Friday The 13th Camp Tour Event

First Ever Friday The 13th Camp Tour Event

First ever camp tour event at the Friday the 13th Part 1 filming location. Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco (or “No-Be” for short) is a thriving Boy Scout Camp tucked away in the hills of northwestern New Jersey. The camp is private property of the Boy Scouts of America. To protect the health and safety of our youth campers, the camp is not open to non-Scout visitors. The camp opened in 1927, making it the oldest continuously operating Scout camp in New Jersey. Since then, countless Scouts have made the trip to No-Be and forged memories to last a lifetime.

A little over 30 years ago, there was also a small film shot there. You might have heard of it… it was called “Friday the 13th, Part 1”. As horror films don’t really fit well with the program of a Boy Scout camp, the BSA has not allowed movie fans to visit the birthplace of the most popular horror film franchise ever created.

BUT… that’s about to change. Well, at least for a few lucky folks for a few hours on Friday the 13th of May, 2011.
