The long awaited and moderately anticipated Hostel III will be released to DVD on December 27, 2011. The latest edition in the Hostel franchise is directed by Scott Spiegel (From Dusk Til Dawn 2) and written by Michael D. Weiss (I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer). Even though Hostel III is the third entry in the franchise, it is the first to go without any contribution from Eli Roth, the man behind the first two films. Hostel III will star Thomas Kretschmann (Resident Evil: Apocalypse), Kip Pardue (The Wizard of Gore), John Hensley (Teeth, Shutter), Sarah Habel (The Butterfly Effect 3), Kelly Thiebaud, and many others.
As it is the first film without Eli Roth, it is also the first film to be centered in America. The plot is described as: “While attending a bachelor party in Las Vegas, four friends are enticed by two sexy escorts to join them at a private party way off the Strip. Once there, they are horrified to find themselves the subjects of a perverse game of torture, where members of the Elite Hunting Club are hosting the most sadistic show in town.” Hostel III is rated R for strong bloody sadistic violence and torture, sexuality/nudity and pervasive language.
