“Day of Blood” official website is already online. The film is written and directed by Gonzalo López (“Embryo”), who is bringing us this time a bloody and horrifying slasher set in Catalonia. From www.dayofbloodmovie.com you can follow the daily news about the crew and the casting; you can check production pictures, making off, contests and all kind of information about the film. “Day of Blood” is Gonzalo López’s second feature (after directing “Embryo” in 2008). He is also the writer of the film. The producers are Alejandro Oliete y Ignacio F. Rodò, while Núria Roura, will be the Assistant Director. Sergio Bernal, the main start of “Embryo” will be in “Day of blood” as well. The Special make up effects will be created by Adrián Cardona (“Brutal Relax”), Sofía Daunis y Mónica Murguía.
Recently, we had the confirmation of two new members of the crew on board. Marcos Fernández will be the composer of the original score, and Olmo Sobrino, will be the Director of Photography.
This ambitious project will start shooting in March 2012, and right now is in the pre production stage, closing the final budget through the classical methods as well as two crowd funding platforms.

Synopsis:
In 1975, during the last days of Franco dictatorship, a man is murdered in a forest by some strangers. Years later, in 2011, a group of 9 friends, 5 men and 4 women, goes on an excursion during Catalonia’s National Day. The chosen place is the forest where the murder was committed. Once there, they will find out what happened when a forest ranger tells them. This fact, plus the sexual tension between the friends and the connection of some of the members of the group with the assassination will turn all of them into possible victims or killers of a bloody game in which a mysterious psychopath will start taking lifes away.
