Horror Sales: Keyhole, Twilight, and Grimm

I know this is late…

Box office numbers, DVD sales, and television viewership from April 6th to April 12th, 2012.

All the big horror, scifi, thriller, or mystery films are holding up nicely at the Box Office despite not receiving much press anymore. An indie scifi-mystery, Keyhole, debuts very low and Intruders is struggling to hold on.

23 20 Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance $321,000 (Total: $51,231,000)

34 33 Chronicle $181,000 (Total: $64,012,000)

35 29 Silent House $156,000 (Total: $12,596,000)

37 32 The Woman In Black $135,000 (Total: $54,141,000)

48 62 Gone $85,000 (Total: $11,682,000)

77 58 Intruders $12,000 (Total: $69,000)

89 Keyhole $5,000

Twilight is the ONLY horror or scifi film on the DVD Top 30 Chart. How depressing…

14 12 Twilight/Dawn Part 1 $946,000 (Total: $88,969,000)

There are a lot a of horror or scifi television shows on the air right now, but none that are really raking in viewers. Right now, Grimm is the biggest hit even tho its numbers aren’t that great. SyFy show Dream Machines debuts with over 1.2mil viewers.

The Killing – 1,806,000

Ghost Hunters – 1,684,000

Being Human – 1,382,000

Lost Girl – 1,219,000

Dream Machines – 1,209,000

The Vampire Diaries (repeat) – 1,008,000

The Secret Circle (repeat) – 850,000

Monster Man – 761,000
