Dorney Park (PA) to become infested with zombies!

I’ve never been to a zombie walk before, but I know they are a hit with horror fans so I figured I would promote this one happening at Dorney Park next weekend. Although, I wonder if this is a true zombie walk so much as it is a special zombie event within the theme park?

On September 14, 2012 Dorney Park in Allentown, Pennsylvania will host a special night of terror along with NYC Zombie Crawl. For the second year in a row, people are encouraged to attend the water park completely dressed as decaying zombies. Don’t know how to do zombie make up? No worries! FX artists will be available to do professional FX make up for only $15. A portion of the ticket sales will go directly to sponsoring the NYC Zombie Walk happening in Manhattan on October 14. Purchasing your tickets online – as well as mentioning the zombie invasion – will get you discounted prices on hotel rooms near the event.

Some of the best and brightest “Walking Dead” zombies will be on hand to assist, meet with fans of the show, and enjoy the event. “Walking Dead” zombies Savana Jade Wehunt, Kevin Galbraith (the zombie that killed Dale), and Sonya Thompson will be on hand (unless they’re handless) for Q & A’s and meet-and-greets during the night.

The invasion begins at 6:00PM and ends at midnight. Other events during the night include zombie merchandise vendors, a “fright feast,” a “face your fears” expo featuring Cross Bearer, a zombie prom, brain eating contest, best dressed zombie contest, and more. It honestly sounds like a great time. I’m not too far away, but unfortunately I will be unable to attend! However, I encourage any of our tri-state area readers to go check it out for me.
