***EDITORIAL NOTE***

Due to the events that occurred June 1, 2013, the original article posted by Michael Jones (Dedman13) on Horror Society and other horror sites had been edited for content.  After Mr. Jones’ visit to interview Marcus Miller, the so-called Orphan Killer, violence struck and Marcus broke free from his restraints and escaped from the facility that was holding him.  During the escape, Marcus seriously injured one guard and killed two others.  Mr. Jones himself was the victim of a brutal attack, but at this time is stable and in a guarded position.  All ties lead to Marcus Miller, and at this time all attempts are being made to find his sister Audrey…

1. To say the least, your life and upbringing have not been under the best of circumstances. While I can understand why you have the anger and rage that consumes you, can you explain why you went after your sister Audrey even though she was not responsible for what happened to you and did you ever consider getting revenge on all of the others that are responsible for your pain, namely the rest of the nuns and the man that murdered your mother?

I have no emotion. No remorse. That part of me was taken when the last hope for a light in my life went out. The day my sister promised to never forget me…. but she did. The others are nothing more than food for me to devour. Shred their miserable flesh, crack open their jaws, The nuns shaped me. If I felt something I would thank them for making me the wonderful creature I have become today. Now it is baby sisters turn to realize who she really is. A MILLER.

2. Let us go back to two incidents that I believe are the catalysts for who you have become today: that unfortunate night where you carefully and cleverly hid yourself and your sister from harm from the man that murdered your mother and the night you beat the other little boy down in the orphanage with a baseball bat. Is part of your anger stemming from the fact that at the time of your mothers death you were unable to do anything else but protect your sister, and what was your motivation for bludgeoning the little boy tickling your sister? Did you sense some kind of threat from him?

My mother and fathers death changed our life. I was young. I had too much chocolate that night and was teasing my sister in the bathtub when the attack occurred. I could hear my mother crying in fear in the kitchen. My father yelling. His gutting took about 15 seconds until he was quiet. They held him down in the hallway and cut his stomach open and then his throat. After they cut his stomach open his screams were loud. Then when they cut his throat it got quiet. Just gurgling. That’s when Audrey’s whimpers could have caught their attention. I was saving myself as much as I was saving her. Although I wanted to see what they had done to Mom and Dad I knew my strength was not great enough to defeat them. I quieted her down to save us both.

As for the boy in the orphanage, I saw him tickling her and wanted the sound they were making to cease. When I hit him over the head with the bat his skin opened slowly. As it opened and warm blood began to flow out I felt at home. Seeing my sister scream and his warm blood spray her face causing me to continue pounding until his hands were broken and his brain was exposed.

3. The nuns handled you with a roughness and callousness as a child that is not even reserved for the worst inmates in our prison systems today. Being submerged in water, being whipped and finally, forced to wear that mask. Why did you refuse to apologize and repent to the nuns for your behavior, what were you thinking when you received these punishments and what do you think they were trying to accomplish by making you wear the mask?

As Audrey, my BABY SISTER, drove away with a policeman to sleep in a princess bed and play with barbies…. I died. The last part of me disappeared. I accepted my punishment and now I punish while wearing it. My mask is a part of me.

the-orphan-killer4. From everything I have seen and read from and about you, a couple of things stand out. First and foremost, you seem extremely intelligent and articulate. Two, you are calm under pressure and resourceful to the point it seems supernatural. Lastly, even though you had the opportunity to not wear your mask anymore, you continue to do so, even as we sit here for this interview. In your confined location for so many years, how did you manage to increase your intelligence and hone your language skills to the razor sharpness that they are, how are you able to keep your calmness and the ability of improvisation about you while stalking a victim and do you continue to wear the mask as a symbol of shame and resentment, or is there another reason?

Feeding on rats and drinking from rusty pipes gives you a unique perspective on life. My expectations are not high enough that I feel. Right now looking at your face I see nothing. I was taught weekly by Father Chuck the ways of the world. My vocalization skills were honed in with harsh lessons from the church clergy.

5. Your confinement through your developmental years had to be an excruciating and mind numbing experience. The day that those orderlies showed up in your room and you stabbed the one in the neck and killed him, what was your thought process? Did it ever cross your mind that they could be there to help and maybe get you out of there and did you ever have to face any criminal charges for that or the little boy you beat with the bat?

My confinement was for your protection. Protection from me. When I read your questions they do not make me trigger a memory. My mind does not wander off and imagine an answer for you. I want to crush your question back into your filthy mouth. Taste your inner Christ. Maybe then you would understand. Make you dead. Slowly. As your eyes begin to change I will look down at you without emotion. Without remorse.

6. While in the school chasing your sister down, you certainly painted the walls red with blood. You offed students, staff, nuns and priests like they were nothing, using just about anything that you could put your hands on. Murder is one thing, I get that, but what is it about just opening someone up like a deer that appeals to you: Is it simply snuffing out the light in their eyes or do you derive pleasure from doing things like sawing a priests arm off or garrotting someone with a strand of barbed wire while they are still alive?

Pleasure? I would have to have known pleasure in order to feel pleasure. When I found out that my baby sister was alive and had gone back to the same place we were both separated in, I had to return. It was a divine sign. The strangers I encounter on my path to Audrey is unfortunate for them. Under the circumstances, I believe I should tell you that I know your address. Have you seen my sister? I think you have. That is why you know so much about my life. I think I would prefer to answer some of your questions in person. How does that sound?

the-orphan-killer-yeah7. One of the more interesting aspects you have is the love/hate relationship you have with religion and members of the church. You speak in religious undertones and use religious symbolism quite a bit to where it is hard to tell if you are being serious or facetious. There was even a moment after you cut the priests arm off where you quip “No more touching little boys, Father” and turn to your sister and ask her if he ever touched her like he touched you. Where you ever abused by any members of church, why all of the use of religion if it upsets/offends you and did it upset you when Audrey mercy killed the priest with the hammer instead of you finishing him off?

The lord GIVETH and I TAKETH away. Christ is your brother Deadman. He walks with you and guides you to become who you are really meant to be. You should listen to him. Look at all he has done for me. He gave me an opportunity to visit with Sister again. I admit I was unnerved to return back from a walk in the church and find Baby Sister had escaped from her lesson. I understood when I saw Father Chucks head bashed in that Audrey had taken mercy on him. I also believe that something inside of her came shining through. Part of her lesson had an impact on her and now her orphan killer bloodline has been ignited. Religion assisted in shaping me into the person I am today.

8. This is the part of your story that bothers me the most, Marcus. You had your sister in the perfect position for your idea to repent to you, bound by barbed wire around the wrists and another rusted band around her head fashioned as a crown of thorns. Instead, you fell into the horror movie cliché and played around a bit too much and she escaped. Even though I understand you wanted her to repent and suffer at your hands, why didn’t you finish her off when you had the chance and get away free and clear?

Did you say you were bothered by something I did? Sister did as I dictated. Do you think it was my intention to finish her off? What is wrong with you? You would kill your own sister? You make me sick Deadman. You shall repent for these sins of the nasty tongue. I see a smile inside of you when you say finish her off. Many men find my sister very attractive and I feel you would have violated her before killing her. You need to speak with Christ, Deadman. Let him into your black heart. He will guide you- make suffering what it is truly meant to be. My blood pumps nothing but darkness. I feel no fear. I envy pain. Once I get my hands on you, I am going to chew on your bones.

9. I respect you and the work that you do Marcus, but I kinda feel like I have to say that your sister kicked your ass pretty hard at the end, giving to you as well as you gave to her earlier. How surprised were you by the ferocity of her hammer attack against you and again by the fight she showed by not only getting up to the rooftop, but digging into your skull while you were attempting to put her down again?

If there was a feeling as she bashed my skull into fragments it was PRIDE. Having her fingers inside me violently digging into my brain I felt connected to her more than ever before.

209208_10150168264229753_4636365_o10. Like most serial killers, you have gained tons of interest and fans around the world, garnering attention from magazines, podcasts, film festivals and all other kinds of public avenues. Your story is now the #1 selling Indie horror film on iTunes, you image adorns t-shirts and DVD’s, hell even replicas of your mask are being sold! Granted, you are still alive but well hidden from the public’s eye being held here, but are you surprised by the amount of people that consider themselves to be your fans and what do you think of the merchandising of you and your story?

No. They are the orphan brothers and sisters of the cruel revolution. They know this. They stand with me in murder.

11. Matt Farnsworth, the incredibly gifted director, could be considered the “handler” of your image and the film about you. Did Matt ever get in contact with you about telling your story, do you think he fairly represented you and your views in the film and if you could say anything to him right now, what would it be?

Matt Farnsworth is not talented. He is the sickest human being alive. I am standing here with him now. Let me ask him. It would be easier to speak to him if he would put the gun down but he feels safer around me while holding it.

12. You took and administered a beating like few have ever seen in the pursuit of your sister. Looking back on it now, do you wish you had been repentent and sorrowful with the nuns in the beginning, do you regret the two times you had hesitation to kill your sister when you had the chance and have you fully recovered from your injuries and the fall off of the roof?

Regret is something for people who have an emotion. Which I do not. I do agree that I should have started her lessons earlier on so that her decision to leave me would have been different. I should have burned her arms and cut out her tongue in the orphanage.

420288_10151509624229753_1263460655_n13. I can tell you are getting tired of my questions, so before I slip you the key to your cuffs and the cell door, answer these last questions for me. Are you planning to finish the job you started with your sister, if you dispatch of her, what would be next for you and should I be expecting a visit from you in the near future?

What cell is that? The one that you are in? You should be expecting a visit in the next five minutes. I have your address. Matt just gave it to me. Told me I should feed you your intestines. He is going to film it so we can show your children what a miserable human you are. I will kill again Deadman and you my brother will be there with me to assist in harming others so violently that you swallow your own pathetic puke. This summer you will see a lot of new behind the scenes footage coming from the TOK murder crew. Go to www.theorphankiller.com

Also cruel creator Matt Farnsworth and Baby Sister Diane Foster are creating a series of videos and photos this summer called SICKO.

REVIEW QUOTES

Hayes Hudson House of Horrors
TOK will be seen along the likes of Jason, Freddy, and Leatherface when it comes to discussion about the greatest horror movie killers.

ROBERT RHINE OF GIRLS AND CORPSES MAGAZINE
“I saw your blood drenched movie The Orphan Killer. It is old school, knife in the belly, eviscerating horror – the kind of movie H.G Lewis would applaud. Your movie created an endorphin rush of horror along with a puddle of pee under my seat. Congrats on doing what so few movies can do…..FREAK ME OUT! ”

MIKE BOHATCH OF HORRORNEWS.NET SAID
“I’m gonna have to call this one outstanding and a return to classic horror with a lethal bang! An impressive visceral contribution that will be talked about for quite some time.”

SHOCK HORROR MAGAZINE’S DEAN BOOR ASKED CREATOR MATT FARNSWORTH….
“How does it feel to know you’ve accomplished what you set out to do – to create a new legacy in horror?”

THE CULTUREGEDDON SAID
“The Orphan Killer is a totally formulaic movie but again all the odds director and star Matt Farnsworth (best known for Iowa 2005) has turned out a real franchise baby that manages to look great wearing the same old clothes. With all the cliche ingredients to be Halloween on Elm Street part 7 this movie risks falling very flat but ends up a real solid slasher that delivers on all expectations of gore and action.”

HORRORHOUND MAGAZINE – JASON HIGNITE
“The effects are so well executed and scenes so well acted it becomes impossible to look away.”

HAPPY HORROR HOUR – TONY SULLIVAN
Keep an eye out for The Orphan Killer and grab it with both hands as soon as you possibly can. It really is above and beyond and lives and breathes in a league of its own. Gorehounds and slasher fans take note… a future classic is born.

DR. GASH OF DREAD CENTRAL
“I’ve never seen anyone swing an axe as hard or with such bad intentions, as this new serial Killer.
Goddamn, he simply pulverizes his victims. He speaks, and It’s the fact that he verbalizes his
intentions and sufferings that makes the character that much more chilling. Matt Farnsworth had an
agenda with this film. To create a character he could build a franchise around. I think
he did it.”

DELAMORTE’S DUNGEON OF DEADLY DELIGHTS
“Matt Farnsworth is the future of horror”

THOMAS GLEBA AT NERDREMIX
“Matt Farnsworth has lightning in a fucking bottle here”

ANDY ERUPTS
“Farnsworth definitely knows how to stage a death sequence and Backus certainly has a flair for ferocity that verges on troubling. Have no doubt that when I say that The Orphan Killer is a very bloody film, I mean it. The deaths are crushingly violent and are, for the most part, excellently executed using practical effects. Gore-hounds will not be disappointed as heads splat, hands are removed and the stabbings? Oh the stabbings… There are also sawings, gougings and choppings and it’s all there, splattered in gor-ious technicolour, for all to see.”
