Suffolk, England home to its own Lake Monster?

NessPointMonster

See, why can’t I live in a state with a cool lake monster?

It appears that a lake in the suburb of Lowestoft in Suffolk, England is home to its own lake monster.

As dusk fell on the evening of April 1, 2014 two men – one an amateur photographer – happened to capture a picture of a supposed lake monster in Oulton Broad. Oulton Broad, a marshy waterway that serves as a passageway between two other lochs, has never been the site of a Nessie-like event before.

Needless to say, the Oulton Broad sea monster currently dubbed “The Ness Point Monster” is making waves in the community.

Colin Law, the man behind the photo, describes the beast as 20 feet in length with a single hump and a long tail. He managed to capture footage of the creature for almost a minute and says, “It was absolutely an incredible and amazing privilege to see such a beautiful creature.”

NessieBeerDespite having almost a minute of video footage of Oulton’s Ness Point Monster, Law has only released one still frame from his collection. If the monster exists, why not release your entire clip for the masses – Hell, even the world – to view? Maybe it’s because a brewery in Suffolk is launching its own brand of beer that coincidentally features a Ness-like creature on the label. Weird how Adnam’s new beer, Nessie, was mass produced within days of the first ever sighting. Maybe The Ness Point Monster is a big fan of oat beer?

As much as I like cryptozoology and I hope that one day we discover a lake monster of epic proportions, I’m going to stamp this one as a big hoax!
