At first I thought Silent Retreat was going to be super rape revengey, but once I glanced over its IMDB page and viewed the official trailer I realized this is going to be a psychological thriller with the added bonus of creepy, horrific monsters. Regardless of the plot, Silent Retreat will be hitting several theatres across Canada beginning on June 13, 2014. The film, which is produced by A Film Monkey Production, has received a lot of positive reviews and even won “Best Canadian Feature” at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival. Silent Retreat is written and directed by Tricia Lee with Corey Brown. Cast members include Chelsea Jenish, Sofia Banzhaf, Robert Nolan (Sick, “Paranormal Witness”), Jen Pogue, Matthew Romantini, Mark Buck, Jennie Foster, Katie Buitendyk, and Jenna Jade Rain.
