Marilyn: Zombie Hunter is a high octane horror thriller with plenty of pop culture camp. What if the biggest, most iconic Movie Star of all time was protecting us from the UNDEAD? It’s a story about love, life, and a little place called Hollywood. All told as a fun, action packed, horror feature. Think… Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets Kill Bill.
It’s 1961: The Space race begins, The Bay of Pigs landing in Cuba is a disaster, East German authorities close the border between East and West Berlin and begin erecting the Berlin Wall. Are all of these incidents related? What did they all witness? In our story you’ll find out.
Beauty Queen. Movie Legend. The world is obsessed with her. Her films and her personal life. But what if Hollywood’s’ biggest movie legend was a secret agent recruited to stop the Apocalypse?
Marilyn: Zombie Hunter is an “R” rated horror thriller film with adult sensibilities. Where it differs from other horror parodies is that it’s played straight. It’s a serious film with fun filled camp and tongue in cheek elements. While there is a little humor to break up the drama and horror it’s used sparingly. Characters are well defined and real with a heavy tilt on the dramatic side. Other Hollywood Icons play pivotal roles in this story. They aren’t cardboard cut-outs. The first half of the film is spent getting to know the characters, only to see at the midway point all hell begins to break loose. From then on Marilyn is knee deep in a conspiracy that threatens to bring the world as we know it to the brink of apocalyptic destruction.
The last third is a non-stop terrifying ride. By the time she has battled armies of the undead she has gone through hell, both emotionally and physically. The audience will take that ride with her. Of course there are a few twists and turns along the way to unnerve the audience and keep them on their toes.
Keeping silent about her role in protecting the world, she lives with the rumors and and a troubled personal life never revealing her deep secret.
Marilyn: Zombie Hunter leaves the audience wanting more.
