It was only a week ago that I was thrilled to announce that season two of Space Channel’s #1 series, “Bitten,” was returning for its ten episode new season beginning February 2015. Originally the premiere date was scheduled for February 15, 2015 in Canada, but those lucky fans now know that the debut season two episode was bumped up a week and will now air on February 7, 2015. No date has been set for Americans on the SyFy Channel yet, but I’m hoping that the announcement will come any day now. The show was renewed by SyFy in May 2014 and the network’s website lists it as a, “series returning in 2015.”
With only a little over a month left until Canada’s favorite werewolf family returns, Space Channel has released a series of short promotional videos featuring all of the shows main characters. The promo videos not only show that the cliffhangers from last season’s finale will be addressed in full, but that the coven of witches who are featured in Kelley Armstrong’s best selling book series will be featured in season two as well. I think this was a smart decision on the writers’ part to try to lure in new science-fiction fans. While “Bitten” was the #1 show on Space Channel, it struggled to maintain its modest success in The States.
“Bitten” follows the life of Elena, the only female to ever exist, and her inner and outer struggles as she tries to maintain any semblance of self while maintaining her allegiance to her pack, The Danvers family. The show is lead by Laura Vandervoort, Greyston Holt, Greg Bryk, Steve Lund, and Michael Xavier.
