HORROR SOCIETY AWARDS 2015: IT’S TIME TO CHOOSE THE NOMINEES!

Well, here we are. By the time you guys read this, I’ll have started selecting the official Horror Society Awards 2015 Nominees. We had a landslide of ballots this year, 415 to be exact.

While we begin this slight intermission between selecting the nominees and selecting the winners, I need to go back and check that all submissions fit the guidelines. The last week and a half were crazy, and I received an influx of new submissions that totally changed the course of the nomination process. I didn’t have time to go back and fact check them, so I’m going to take a day or two to figure that out now.

Also, multiple names were submitted in multiple categories. For example, four different men from the same film were submitted for Best Actor. I need to speak with my executive, Dr. Gore, on how we should handle this to maintain integrity and not give other films a leg up over the competition. This is only our third year doing the Horror Society Awards and it appears the rules and guidelines still need a little bit of tweaking. We can only get better through trial and error!

Give me a few days to sort this all out, another few days so my boss can make the winners poll on HorrorSociety.com’s server, and we’ll begin voting for the winners on January 30, 2015.

Thanks for another great year of counting ballots!
