Julie Benz to headline “HAVENHURST.”

julie-benz-net-worth3I think that Julie Benz is a supremely talented actress and extremely versatile with her craft. I was looking over her profile today to see if she has any new gigs on the horizon and I was happy to see that she is starring in a new horror film titled Havenhurst. The film is rumored to follow, “a troubled young woman who takes up residence in a gothic apartment building where she must confront a terrifying evil.” I’ll take it, can’t wait!

Havenhurst is written and directed by Andrew C. Erin with Daniel Farrands. Erin’s previous works include Sam’s Lake (2006) and Ice Twisters (2009) with Farrands’ including Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers and The Tooth Fairy (2006). Other cast members starring alongside Benz are Danielle Harris (Halloween 4, Stakeland), Jennifer Blanc-Biehn (“Dark Angel,” The Victim), Fionnula Flanagan (“Lost,” Rich Man Poor Man), Josh Stamberg (“Over There,” “Drop Dead Diva”), Dendrie Taylor (“Sons of Anarchy,” “True Blood”), Matt Lasky, Douglas Tait, and Belle Shouse.

It was produced by Protocol Entertainment and presented by Twisted Pictures, the company that brought you the Saw franchise and Dead Silence. Havenhurst was in post production as of September 2014.

Julie Benz is most known for playing Darla in 26 episodes of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel” as well as Rita Bennett in 49 episodes of “Dexter.” Her many film roles include Rambo, Saw V, and The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day. She currently plays Amanda Rosewater in the hit SyFy series “Defiance.”
