“Power Rangers” Fan Film from Joseph Kahn is Crazy Dark.

An official “Power Rangers” movie reboot is currently in the works. Although a script is nearing the end of completion and several producers are already attached, nothing else is really known about the film due out in 2016.

So Joseph Kahn decided to take his shot at creating his own “Power Rangers” entry, with a short film he is calling a “deboot.” Basically it was made just for the sake of being made. Who knew Kahn was such a big fan of the franchise? Let me just say, though, if his vision in his fan film is anything remotely similar to what’s in store for us in the official movie, then I’m 100% on board!

Kahn is most known for directing dozens of documentaries and short specials about pop’s greatest artists in the last twenty years as well as 2011’s straight-to-DVD horror film Detention.

“Power/Rangers,” as his fan film is being titled, stars Katee Sackhoff as Kimberly the Pink Ranger, James Van Der Beek as Rocky the second Red Ranger, Russ Bain as Tommy the Green Ranger, Gichi Gamba as Zach the Black Ranger, and Will Yun Lee as the villain. “Power/Rangers” also features small appearances from actors playing Billy the Blue Ranger, Trini the Yellow Ranger, and Rita Repulsa.

Check out the action and fucked up bloodshed below!
