Fundraising: Sean Reynolds’ Croatoan

20150317061234-Croatoan_Poster_Dead_TreeIn 1588 the colony of Roanoke, vanished leaving behind only the ruins of the settlement. 115 colonists gone, with but a single word carved into a tree CROATOAN. Centuries later, three individuals will find themselves locked in a life or death struggle for survival. As Ben, Julia, and Seth face the unknown, believing they are alone on the island. They will discover the islands dark truth, a curse that can not be escaped, a fate worse than death. History’s about to repeat itself.

“Hi, I’m Sean Reynolds and I have been an indie filmmaker for about fifteen years. Now I could spout out all this crap about how talented I and my crew are, but that’s neither here nor there. The point is, we want to make unique films that don’t fit into the mold of horror films being produced today. We after all our huge fans of the genre, that honestly feel let down. So we’re making our own. Croatoan will be the first of what we’re calling narrative horror films. This is done primarily cause our three characters believe they are alone on the island.  It’s also a great way of getting around scheduling conflicts with our actors.

We need $2,000 dollars in order to build all the blood rigs for our gore scenes. Here’s the break down of where the money goes: wire mesh to create armature for the fake body parts, CO2 canisters to create the blood splatter effects, latex, alginate, and plaster bandages to create life casts of the actors, fake blood because cause you can’t have a horror movie without it, and costuming.

Now about the Perks, we have some cool little things!  Like pens, posters, and T-shirts (And not one’s that just say Croatoan, full image ones)!  And two people who donate a $1,000 are going to get a licensed replica of the Croatoan mask worn in the film! It even will be signed by everyone in the film.”

Personally, I think donating at the $25 tier is the best perk because you get a Blu-ray copy of the film. At least then you’ll get a good copy of the movie you donated to! Click here to donate to Croatoan on IndieGoGo!
