Deadly Beauty: Horror’s Scream Queens and Rising Talent: Meghan Chadeayne

11072289_10153695400399046_695445656_n“My name is Meghan Chadeayne. I’m a twenty-four year old published model/actress currently residing in Long Beach, California. I grew up in a small town in southern Illinois, on a gravel road to a bar owner Mother and an Autobody/Mechanic father. I studied art at Savannah College of Art and Design and Southern Illinois University. I am currently a full time student at Full Sail University for my BFA in Creative Writing for the Entertainment Business.

When I was nineteen, I joined the United States Navy and enlisted for four years to be an Aviation Structural Mechanic stationed out in Lemoore,California. In those four years, I participated in many training detachments that took me across the US and two over-seas tours. I saw many countries and had the awesome experience of learning several cultures. The USN gave me a gateway to my true dreams,I was able to start building up a modeling portfolio and making a name for myself.

You can catch me on my down days with my nose in a book, gaming on Xbox (Add my Gamertag: GreaseMonkeyMeg!), or sketching.I have a 2011 Mustang convertible, whose name is Roxy. She is my money pit and my child. I have a love for riding ATVs, motorcycles, and going fast. The gym is my second home, I love Yoga and am starting Martial Arts lessons soon!

I am very committed when it comes to projects. I feel that if I can’t give my all to something, I’m letting myself down. You will never find me giving anything less one-hundred percent. I pride myself with the fact I’m always eager to learn. I promise if you book me for a project, film, or shoot you will not be booking a flake or unprofessional. I can give you a girl, with a smile on her face, eager to learn and perform. This isn’t just a job to me: it’s my passion,my life, my journey and I thank you for taking time to be a part of it.”*

Location: A gypsy caravan up and down the west coast, but mainly Long Beach, CA.

1. How did you get into the industry?

I was an Aviation Structural Mechanic in the US. Navy stationed in Lemoore, CA. I was heading back from a modeling gig up north one weekend and I got a call about a local indie horror feature auditioning roles. So I took a chance and got the role! At the time, I had very limited film experience, mainly theater and drama classes. Filming was exhilarating, and I fell in love with acting all over again.

2. What Scream Queen inspired you most?

1960’s Barbara Steele is pretty far up on that list for me. I always found her to be so uniquely wonderful. She’s very striking to me. Her technique on camera is captivating. She wasn’t afraid of being confident, she knows how to command a scene, and those eyes…swoon.

3. What are the next couple projects you are working on?

I just wrapped filming on a Wonder Woman fanfilm that was produced out of Alabama (I played WW!). I have a couple short films this summer on the east coast, and I’m also gearing up for a post-apocalyptic action-horror film called, ‘Rhonda Rides to Hell’. It’s my co-writing debut with award winning director, Michael S. Rodriguez. There’s currently an Indiegogo campaign out for it: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/rhonda-rides-to-hell-pre-production-campaign–2
