Scout Taylor-Compton continues horror streak, headlines upcoming film GHOST HOUSE.

scout_taylor_compton_sept_30_2009_golden_kinaree_awards004_dtrcbwqIt’s been nine years since Scout Taylor-Compton did her first horror film with Wicked Little Things and eight years since she was the new Laurie Strode in the Rob Zombie Halloween remakes. So many years later I’m still happy to see her occasionally dipping her toes in the blood red pool of the horror genre. Fresh off the success of the supernatural horror film 7500, Scout booked another lead role in another horror title – Ghost House.

Details on the upcoming film are almost non-existent at this point, which is surprising because Scout Taylor-Compton is one of faces of the horror genre with her other roles including the April Fool’s Day remake and Life Blood. Luckily social media sites and database networks like Instagram and IMDB exist so I was able to get a little insight into Ghost House with a little searching. Apparently the movie was filmed from early January to mid February 2015 in Thailand.

The film was directed by Rich Ragsdale (The Curse of El Charro) under KNR Productions based on the script by Kevin Ragsdale, Kevin O’Sullivan and Jason Chase Tyrrell. Ghost House stars Compton alongside James Landry Hebert (Looper, Super 8), Mark Boone Junior (30 Days of Night, “Sons of Anarchy”), Russell Geoffrey Banks (Pernicious), Michael S. New, Rich Lee Gray and Katrina Grey.

And that’s all I got, really. The plot is completely under wraps besides the fact that it obviously has to do with an other worldly presence. I’m sure there will be more news on Ghost House as it heads further into post-production, but for now all we can do is wait! Check out some behind-the-scenes photos from Scout’s Instagram page confirming the existence of this upcoming title!
