Horror Sales: A Slow Thanksgiving Week.

HorrorSales

Horror, Scifi, Thriller Box Office Numbers, DVD Sales and Television Viewership for the week of November 20 to November 26, 2015.

Box Office: Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the ticket sales at the box office are somewhat unreported. I don’t know placings, but here’s what each title made last week. Also, Victor Frankenstein made just over $1million on opening night.
Goosebumps $2,702,000 (Total: $76,957,000)
Hotel Transylvania 2 $1,189,000 (Total: $166,816,000)
Victor Frankenstein $1,085,000
The Last Witch Hunter $416,000 (Total: $26,896,000)
Paranormal Activity: Ghost Dimension $261,000 (Total: $18,300,000)
The Visit $104,000 (Total: $65,092,000)
Crimson Peak $102,000 (Total: $31,079,000)
The Hallow $1,300 (Total: $8,900)

DVD Top 20: Jurassic World is the top selling scifi movie of the week and I assume it’s going to stay there for a while. Also, sequel The Exorcism of Molly Hartley manages to crack the top 20.
1 Jurassic World
3 1 Terminator: Genisys
6 4 Pixels
9 6 The Gift
13 9 Pay the Ghost
16 12 The Gallows
17 16 Avengers: Age of Ultron
20 The Exorcism of Molly Hartley

Television Viewership: Not a lot of new television going on this week in spite of the holiday. I have to say, though, that the fourth episode of “Ash vs. Evil Dead” totally rebounded and saw its highest audience to date. Well done.
