The race is over!
For two months I trained for my first 5K marathon, running it on Saturday, February 13th in 12 degree weather in Seaside, NJ. The race was a benefit for housing and learning development for those with special needs and I used my platform here at HorrorSociety.com as a means to raise donations to the cause. As it turns out, I’m pretty good at running… I was the 16th person to cross the finish line out of 149 and I even took first place in my age category, males 24 to 29.
I also was the #3 individual fundraiser with over $350 received in donations. I saw all of the likes here and on our social media pages and I saw all of your shares, too. So for all of those who helped to spread the word – you’re awesome. And for all of those within the horror community who donated, I’d like to give you a special shout out now.
