324751C02_BD_2D_OringIt’s up to the hero to get the girl, but now villains around the world can catch The Boy starting May 10th!

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment released William Brent Bell’s hit horror film The Boy to Digital HD on April 26th and now you can own a physical copy of the film. Get your hands bloody as The Boy crawls to Blu-Ray and DVD as well as VOD on May 10th. Produced by Lakeshore Entertainment and and STX Entertainment and written by Stacey Menear, The Boy took the #5 position at the box office during its first week of release in January and still remains the top selling horror film of 2016. Lauren Cohan (“The Walking Dead”) and Rupert Evans (Hellboy) star.

Horror Society was provided with two prize bundles to give away to our readers. Not only do we have two Blu-Ray + Digital HD copies available, but we’ve also been provided with official The Boy merchandise: one candle and one t-shirt (pictured far below) for each Blu-ray. That means if you win the Blu-Ray + Digital HD, you’ll get the candle and the t-shirt as part of your prize! This contest is open to United States residents only. Contest begins today, May 9th, and runs until Wednesday, May 19th.

Considering that my second favorite genre of film is comedy, I figure I’d run another fun caption contest to find the winners. Send your best humorous or witty captions to for your chance to win. Please include your full name and address in your entry so we know where to send your rewards. Here’s the photo you must caption:

Greta (Cohan) is a young American woman who takes a job as a nanny in a remote English village.  She soon discovers that the family’s 8-year-old is a life-sized doll that they care for just like a real boy, as a way to cope with the death of their son 20 years prior. After violating a list of strict rules, a series of disturbing and inexplicable events bring Greta’s worst nightmare to life, leading her to believe that the doll is actually alive.
