Travis Legge, most known for directing 2011’s Raymond Did It, is hard at work on his latest feature film – a blood revenge thriller titled Reckoning. Written and directed by the Rockford native, Reckoning is described as an homage to the ultra-violent revenge films of the 1970’s and 1980’s; a genre favorite of Legge’s so much so that he made this idea into a comic book with Santiago Espina before starting pre-production on the feature film adaption. You can find the comic book on the Drive Thru Comics site here.

Reckoning will follow Justine, a young woman in the inner city, as she hunts down, maims, tortures and visits bloody revenge upon those responsible for killing her boyfriend. Sounds like it will be a less rapy version of I Spit on Your Grave. Danielle Doetsch (Bikini Girls on Ice, Dismembering Christmas) is tapped to star as Justine; and she’ll be joined on screen by Josh Hoover, Brandon K. Jones, Dessi Maloney, Joe Mistretta, Dustin Urness, Kevin Poole, Allison Didier, Becky Bramlett, Steve Heiden and Ricardo Thurmond.

This film is currently in the midst of an IndieGoGo campaign where the production is looking to raise $3,000 of extra funding in the next month. As it stands right now, they’re only 7% in towards their goal. By donating to this campaign, you can earn yourself perks including the comic book inspiration, a DVD copy of the finished film, posters, public thanks and associate producer credit.
