I love this film’s whole process. It’s got two under-utilized tools at its disposal: the extremely underrated crytpid known as The Goatman and the less popular but more professional Seed & Spark crowdfunding platform. What’s even better is that this film isn’t looking for too much money and it’s already received 28% of its goal in donations with 28 days left on the clock.
Trust Me: A Witness Account of The Goatman is the debut screenplay of Leslie O’Neill, a UC Berkeley graduate who previously worked on advertising campaigns for The Social Network and Disney’s Frozen. The film is being brought to life by director Nate Ruegger and producer Darius Frye. Ruegger previously worked with the legendary director Steven Spielberg and Frye has a terrific background in theater. Shots will be highlighted by cinematographer Kelsey Talton, her previous work including Last Rider and Something in the Night. Basically this all means the film is getting made by people who know what they’re doing!
Cast members currently attached to this short film include Alexandra Bayless (“Days of Our Lives”) and Luke Cook (“The Librarians”).

This is a great opportunity to get your hoofs dirty.
