The Conduit is about of young man named Andrew, a down on his luck 30 something with a very large supernatural problem,everytime he falls asleep his mind opens up a portal to another dimension. In this dimension lies a race of creatures that have been waiting to find a way into our world, in order to combat this Andrew decides to stay awake, with terrible repercussions on his mind and body. While all of this is going on he’s trying to salvage a relationship that might hold the key to his sanity.
Growing up in the late 80’s early 90’s I’ve always loved monster movies and The Conduit is a throwback to the 80’s old school creature features like, Gremlins, The Thing, Aliens and House. This film will be a practical fx creature short where the monsters will play a pivotal role in the film. Special FX artist Cody Ruch is creating all of the creatures which will be brought to life via old school techniques such as puppetry and suitmation.
