(Crowd Funding) Chris Schramm’s Killerz II

Is there a way to make killing fun again? That’s what filmmaker Chris Schramm and Between the Lakes Cinema are trying to answer with their special brand of horror-comedy short films. If you remember, the adventure started with Killerz – the 2015 award winning project that received positive reviews from all audiences. The positive reaction was so great, in fact, that Between the Lakes Cinema has decided to make Killerz into a franchise of sorts with a sequel Killerz II, which is now in production and seeking extra funds through IndieGoGo.

Killerz II will see wanna-be slasher Zaphrone returning to his old ways while trying to tackle some equally brutal personal problems following the death of his mother. While burying his mom, Zaphrone is reunited with his long-lost father, Dave, who is interested in reconnecting with the son he abandoned. This forces the misguided murderer to seek support from his fellow killers, though they shun him and his over-emotional ways. At the same time, a black widow is luring newly-wed husbands to their deaths, so maybe Zaphrone can find the love he desperately craves from another dark force? Filled with tension, humor, and plenty of love, Killerz II is also described as a “bloody good time.”

The script is already written and Between the Lakes Cinema has assembled an amazing cast and crew to work on this production, with principal photography expected to take place around Philadelphia, PA. Costumes, props, locations and special effects are already locked in thanks to local artists. The last obstacle lies with getting that little extra funding to make Killerz II the best it can be… and that’s where you come in. The IndieGoGo campaign for Killerz II ends in 15 days and is still looking for 64% of its $4,180 budget. Your donations will go directly to camera, lighting and sound, cast and crew expenses, make up, prosthetics, costumes and props and location and production fees.

By donating to this campaign you can earn yourselves special thanks in the credits, invitations to the premiere, DVD copies of the completed short, background extra roles, associate producer credits, signed posters and executive producer credits. The original Killerz short has also been made available to the public so you guys can see what Chris Schramm and Zaphrone are made of.
