(Short Film) Gage Briney’s FLOATERS

Gage Briney has officially tackled his first original short film. Though it is not one of his typical fan films, I can see some homages and inspirations drawn from “American Horror Story: Hotel” and The Shining. Low on gore and high on mystery and suspense, Floaters is a supernatural ghost story of sorts from a young, promising filmmaker.

I have to say that this is overall one of Gage Briney’s best projects. It, above all else, shows that his skills are getting better and he’s learning more from each shoot. The actors are better, the locations are better, and the editing appears more seamless. Briney has the ability to churn out quality short films in such a short amount of time, it’s a shame he doesn’t participate in 48 hour film competitions to establish his brand more!

Floaters is written, directed, produced and edited by Gage Briney under his studio Demented Pictures. He also co-stars in the eleven minute short film alongside Bella Beyere, Alex Bonyata, Jade Faber and Bonnie Parnell. Original music was provided by Seth Hise.
