Santa Monica, October 27, 2016 – Brian O’Shea, CEO of The Exchange, has announced that Lin Oeding is confirmed to direct OFFICE UPRISING. Director Oeding comes from an impressive background in action design for studio films including THE EQUALIZER, STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON and ANT-MAN. His recent directing credits include two episodes of Syfy’s new series “Blood Drive,” NBC’s “Chicago P.D.,” as well as the feature film BRAVEN starring Jason Momoa.

First introduced by The Exchange to buyers at EFM’16 and part of their AFM’16 line-up, OFFICE UPRISING is going into production in Alabama, at the end of November 2016. OFFICE UPRISING is the story of an underachiever working at a major weapons manufacturing firm who finds that his co-workers have been “weaponized” by a new energy drink designed for the military. He must then set off to rescue his one true love from an office building full of psychotic coworkers armed with tomorrow’s deadliest tech.

OFFICE UPRISING stars Brenton Thwaites (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES, THE GIVER, OCULUS), Jane Levy (DON’T BREATHE, EVIL DEAD, “Suburgatory”), and Ian Harding (“Pretty Little Liars”), and is written by Ian Shorr (SPLINTER) and Peter Gamble Robinson. The film is produced by Giulia Prenna, Jim Steele, and Sean Lydiard, Brenton Thwaites is an executive producer and Dan Spilo, a co-executive producer.

Brenton Thwaites’ star has been quickly rising this year, previously starring in Weinstein’s The Giver, and Disney’s mega hit Maleficent and leading the Disney franchise Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales in May with Johnny Depp.  He is represented by WME and Industry entertainment.

“Lin’s action expertise paired with his vision for OFFICE UPRISING will create a big screen experience for the genre aficionados,” said Brian O’Shea from The Exchange.

The Exchange line-up includes Award winning documentary GLEASON, A STREET CAT NAMED BOB, KICKBOXER: VENGEANCE and RETALIATION and is starting production on two features: Stephanie Laing’s IRREPLACEABLE YOU and Justin Chadwick’s THE LADY AND THE PANDA, November’16.
