It was announced in May that Timo Rose (Barricade, Psycho Jack) was creating a remake of late film-maker Ted V. Mikels’ 1971 cult classic The Corpse Grinders. Described as “scarier, bloodier and with more bone crushing,” horror fans are fortunate to see a piece of the madness so soon with the recently released international teaser trailer. Timo Rose’s Corpse Grinders stars Max Evans (Blood Feast remake, “Nature”), Enya Maria Tames (#funnyFACE), Yazmeen Baker (Ultimate Justice), Kristina Kostiv (German Angst) and Anthony Staeger. Written, directed and produced by Rose, Nils Henftling co-produced with Mikels as executive producer – this remake becoming the last entry on his distinguished resume before his passing in October.
“Landau, the young owner of “Lotus Cat Food”, is struggling to keep the company alive as business is worse than expected. Landau is broke and down on his luck and can no longer afford to pay his employees. Because of this, he starts to kill one of his employees every couple of days. Gradually, more people disappear until the police become involved in the case. One of the missing persons, Frank, has an overprotective girlfriend, Tessie, who sets out in search for him. Tessie follows the leads all the way back to “Lotus Cat Food” and its sinister truths.”
