Alien: Covenant ‘Runs’ New Poster & Release Date.

covenant-poster-1I think it’s ironic that the new poster for Alien: Covenant came out on Thanksgiving, the day when we’re all about to feel like aliens are popping out of our chests due to eating too much turkey. Simple yet effective, the teaser poster showcases the franchise’s popular villain with the word “RUN.”

What’s got people talking the most is the news that Alien: Covenant looks like it will be coming out sooner than we expected. Originally slated for an August 2017 release, the new movie from Ridley Scott is now eyeing distribution to theaters on May 19, 2017. That’s three months early! Happy Thanksgiving, yall!

Michael Fassbender will return as David and Noomi Rapace will return as Elizabeth, as seen in 2012’s Prometheus. Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Jussie Smolett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Callie Hernandez and Billy Crudup make up the lead and supporting cast.

Michael Green, John Logan and Jack Paglan wrote the script summarized as, “The crew of the colony ship Covenant discover what they think is an uncharted paradise, but it is actually a dark, dangerous world, whose sole inhabitant is the synthetic David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.”
