Years ago Writer/Director Cheyenne Gordon came up with an idea that would become a love letter to the 90’s genre of slasher horror known as “who done it”. That love letter would become a film called Slasher Flick and would end up never seeing the light of day and put on the back burner… until now! Now teaming up with Studio 605, Jonestown Films, and Concept Media Cheyenne is ready to bring his film to light with a few tweaks for story and tone and deliver the best love letter to 90’s horror yet still giving you a very original story and feel in Scream for Summer!
Studio 605 will be bringing us this fantastic piece of horror! 605 is owned by four members consisting of; Roman Jossart, Brandon Prewitt,Jack Norman, and Travis Wilson. Studio 605 was founded in 2013 and in those 4 short years they have produced 4 Feature films and 7 Shorts with another feature in pre-production. They are one of the most busy and hard working companies in the indie world. Some of 605 films include: Campground: The Requel, The Woods Within, The Wicked One and the youtube sensation Friday the 13th: The Curse of Jason.
Along with 605 we are bringing on Tory Jones from Jonestown Films. Tory will be serving as a producer on this picture to insure it get done and made and within budget. Tory’s most recent work is the soon to be released The Wicked One which just recently gained nation distribution.
We also are pleased to announce Shawn Burkett of Concept Media will be joining us as our editor. Burkett has produced and edited many films including: Don’t Fuck in the Woods, Bludgeon, The Sleeping Soul and most recently Betsy.
We are seeking and asking for the necessary and only the necessary funds to make this picture. Anything we obtain past our $6000 budget will go toward the film in increasing the production value overall of the film. We have a budget breakdown, shooting schedule and story boards. We have broken the script down to 18 shooting days (depending on reshoots due to weather or other reasons) to film all principal photography, including practical gore effects. Yes, the good ole blood and not CGI will make its way into this
